ScImage Secures Orders at 6 Military Medical Centers under DIN-PACS Contract
Completes Rapid Deployment of Cardiovascular Imaging Systems within 90 Days at Two Locations

LOS ALTOS, Calif., November 21, 2016 - ScImage, Inc. announced today that it has secured orders for cardiovascular imaging systems (CVIS) at six Department of Defense medical centers.  The sales are part of its DIN-PACS III (Digital Imaging Network/Picture Archiving and Communications System) contract.

ScImage has been awarded orders to provide image archive, reading and structured reporting for all cardiology procedures performed at the following facilities:  Mike O’Callaghan Federal Medical Center at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada, Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in Texas, Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, North Carolina, Langley Air Force Base Hospital in Virginia, David Grant Medical Center Travis Air Force Base in California, and U.S. Air Force Academy in Fort Collins, Colorado.  Leveraging multiple installation configurations and implementation flexibility, ScImage has completed rapid deployment at two locations within three months of receiving the order and expects to complete deployment on each of the remaining orders within 90 days.

ScImage was awarded the DIN-PACS III contract with the Defense Logistics Agency in 2014, which includes imaging products, such as Picture Archiving and Communications Systems (PACS), diagnostic viewers, Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA), dynamic workload allocation, clinical structured reporting, universal HTML5 image viewers, consolidated worklist, mobile device support, integration services and support programs to be utilized by U.S. Federal agencies. The entire ScImage PICOM365 Enterprise Solution supporting Cardiology, Radiology, Orthopedics, Obstetrics and other non-DICOM diagnostic imaging solutions is available under the contract.

ScImage’s prior contracts have included projects for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VHA), the U.S. Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine, Indian Health Service, and other agencies requiring DIN-PACS goods and services.

“ScImage continues to expand our government division with addition of these leading military medical treatment facilities across the country.  ScImage is able to respond quickly to customers’ needs and rapidly deploy a comprehensive enterprise imaging system that is fully compliant with the stringent IT security requirements to operate within the DoD.  Ultimately, this results in better workflow and patient care for our military personnel, veterans and their families,” said Skip Strasser, Director, Technical Operations, ScImage.
