RedRick Technologies Introduces Folding Ergonomic Workstation, Expands Ergonomic Reading Room Discussion, at Upcoming RSNA 2016 Annual Meeting
Avoiding radiologist burnout and reducing repetitive stress injuries are often overlooked issues affecting the profession.

Mount Brydges, ON Canada, November 16, 2016 - RedRick Technologies, a provider of ergonomic radiology furniture, monitor mounting solutions and reading room design guidance, introduces a full-size, ergonomic sit/stand radiologist workstation that can roll through a standard doorway. This novel solution provides a simple solution to unique challenges, such as the need to quickly swap out a malfunctioning PACS workstation, or provide a dedicated sub-specialty reading workstation adjacent to a covering radiologists general reading workstation.

This new workstation enables healthcare facilities to share the benefits of good ergonomics, radiologist health and productivity.  Our entire line of ergonomic workstations will be displayed at the upcoming Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) in Chicago, IL November 27 - December 2, in booth #7701 - North Hall.

In addition, reading room ergonomics continues making news as a critical issue that affecting radiologists. An article in the October issue of Radiology Today magazine discusses the many ways that an ergonomic radiology workplace can reduce radiologist burnout and improve staff health and productivity.  The article highlights RadFlowSpace, the ergonomic workstation design laboratory that is exploring how to maximize radiologist productivity while minimizing the risk of repetitive stress injuries. RadFlowSpace is being run by Drs. Eliot Siegel, from the Baltimore VA and John Mukai, from St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, MA.

RedRick is supporting this effort, in partnership with Barco and Mckesson, by developing a custom sit/stand workstation that addresses the unique and evolving ergonomic demands of the project. The insights gathered by RadFlowSpace will inform future radiology workstation designs to the benefit of radiologist’s everyday health and productivity.  See a demonstration of the RadFlowSpace workstation at RSNA 2016 and provide your input. It is located in the RedRick booth #7701; North Hall. Sunday - Wednesday, 11am-1pm and 2-4pm.

Visitors to the RedRick Technologies booth at the RSNA 2016 annual meeting are also invited to grab a copy of the Radiology Today article that reviews how ergonomic reading room can reduce radiologist burnout and improve productivity.  If you are not attending RSNA, the article can be downloaded here.
