Fujifilm Synapse 5 Architecture And Speed Set New Standard For Enterprise Imaging Solutions At RSNA 2016

STAMFORD, Conn., Nov. 22, 2016  -- (Booth #6713, North Building, Hall B)FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc., a leading provider of diagnostic imaging products and medical informatics solutions, will showcase its most recent innovation in PACS technology, Synapse 5, which features an advanced server-side imaging architecture. The latest offering of Fujifilm's comprehensive Synapse line of solutions—that includes VNA, CVIS, 3D, RIS and mobile offerings—will transform radiologists' role in healthcare organizations as it enhances collaboration and optimizes workflows across healthcare facilities. Synapse 5 will be on display at the Radiological Society of North America 2016 conference and exhibition held November 27 – December 2, 2016 at McCormick Center in Chicago, Illinois.

"When it comes to a robust enterprise diagnostic imaging solution that truly supports today's radiologists in their professional challenges, Synapse 5 raises the bar like never before," said Bill Lacy, Vice President of Medical Informatics at FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc. "This technology allows them to get their work done with unprecedented speed and provide faster results."

Synapse 5 server-side imaging architecture is the result of an evolution of the company's progressive enterprise imaging platform over the course of twenty years. Designed with speed and functionality as top priorities, Synapse 5 provides remarkable on-demand access to massive datasets and the ability to immediately interact with the data. Advances in efficiency and ergonomics facilitate productivity and a better overall user experience. The latest design includes server-based image rendering and a zero-download viewer with browser and operating system flexibility, resulting in significant IT benefits. Integrated diagnostic breast tomosynthesis and MPR/Fusion eliminate the need for disparate workstations or separate applications to complete workflows.

"Fujifilm's large base of current PACS customers will be able to take advantage of the speed of Synapse 5 through an upgrade to their current system. Seeing value through our continuous new technology innovations is something our customers have come to expect," said Bill Lacy, Vice President of Medical Informatics at FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc. "Synapse 5 stands to save organizations significant resources due to less desktop management, and a dramatic reduction in bandwidth requirements, which many are currently consuming today with last generation PACS technology."

Synapse 5 is 510(k) cleared by U.S. FDA.  To register for a product demonstration at RSNA 2016 or to learn more about Fujifilm's comprehensive Synapse line of solutions, please visit: http://rsna.fujimed.com/
